BAYOU JUSTICE [Harlequin 9]

An awesome beginning for new novelist Robin Caroll, who takes us into the Louisiana bayou country with the authority of a native.  Her voice is authentic Southern with a Cajun accent, and she will transport you to another world, filled with heat and humidity, alligators, old secrets, and murder.

Conservationist CoCo LeBlanc never expected to find the body of the man who was trying to evict her grandmother from the house that has been in their family for generations, but once she does, she becomes a suspect in his death.  Her ex-boyfriend, Luc Trahan, is also a suspect, as the man was his grandfather.

Separated two years ago by their vastly differing belief systems, CoCo and Luc are now forced to work together to discover who wanted Beau Trahan dead enough to kill him.  CoCo is determined not to let Luc get under her guard again, even though her faith now matches his.  However, there are more forces at work in the bayou than just those of a murderer...and not only CoCo but Luc have to face the very real desires of their hearts...

* * * * * Five star, outstanding beginning!  Job WELL done!  I can't for the next one, but fortunately, I won't have to for long.  It came out this month!

Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense, October '07, ISBN 0-373-44264-5  This is, not surprisingly, sold out on eHarlequin.com, but it's well worth looking for at your local used bookstore or online!

Thanks!

Thanks for this amazing review, Hope. I LOVE writing this series and the characters are now like friends to me. :D  I hope you enjoy the second as much.

You're welcome!

I loved reading BJ, and I'm really looking forward to BC!  I saw it in the store today, but I have a gift subscription coming soon, and I am not sure whether it's starting with the Feb. or March books.  If it turns out to be March, I'll probably kick myself (or else rush back to the store & hope it's still there)!  The cover looks wonderful, too!  Cool  Thanks for writing these!  I love your voice.  Made me homesick for the bayou, and I've never lived right on one.  I've always loved them, though.  Must have been the Spanish moss from my childhood...

LOL

I sometimes miss it all as well. Except the mosquitoes. I don't miss those at all!

Mosquito bayou...

...Hmmm.  That'd be a good name for one.  I don't miss the mosquitoes, either, but then, I get plenty around here, too.  Undecided

Oh, by the way, I ordered your second book, and I think it's still listed on the pages, but it didn't come in my order, and they said they were out....  FrownCry  I already have the third one, though!  Laughing  Mom's about halfway through it since she started it this morning...
