Things I've discovered this week on bedrest:
•If I look at my
ceiling long enough, I see faces in the popcorn stuff sprayed up there.
One of the faces looks exactly like Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
•The
middle cushion on my couch is a little lower then either sides. (I paid
a LOT for this couch! How can it already be uneven?)
•There's this funky cobweb hanging from the top left corner of the linen closet.
•If
you divide 5007 by 17, you'll understand why the pattern is off by one.
(Just joking. I'd never get that bored. I don't even know if that made
sense!)
•eBay isn't always cheaper and it gets boring after twenty minutes.
•Purple toes are kind of cool looking.
•There's
a Reece's wrapper under dh's recliner. We haven't had that candy here
since 1969. Nah, we really haven't had it here since Halloween three
years ago.
•Karen Kelley's blog is really funny.
•My baby toe hides under the toe next to it whether it's swollen or not.
•Nine of the bricks in the broken fireplace are darker than all the others. Weird.
•I can listen to the Wicked soundtrack back-to-back three times and still not be tired of it.
•My
pinky toe on the surgery foot still has the nail polish from the Europe
pedicure I got the day before leaving for London even though they took
off all the polish right before they did surgery.
•I have a freckle behind my left knee I never knew was there.
•My
mom can do magic, also known as touch therapy. She can run her hands
just above my leg up and down over the area where I had surgery and
pull the pain out. DD and DH have tried without success.

MaryBeth, If boredom makes you ...
Mary Beth, ROFL, Oh! Gosh, I am in tears (laughing & cutting onion does that to me).
If boredom makes you so funny, then, I might have tears running down my face non-stop, must have a lot of tissues with me then.
Okay, seriously, how are you doing beside being bored? Is the hot pink cast still on? How long a bedrest?
Mommy's kisses (touches) make pain goes away. Now we know its true! Take care.
Orchid
lol
Thanks Orchid. I got the casat yesterday, and I'll have it for one week. Next Wednesday (please GOD), I move to a boot and get to come off bedrest. Woo Hoo!!! Of course, I say woo hoo now. Next week is going to be tough stuff, but I'll be so thrilled to be mobile, I hopefully won't mind too much. When I'm done, I will have had six weeks of bedrest. Unfortunately, much of it was spent in drug induced haze, so the writing I did was very, very odd. :-)

I love your sense of humor
I would have been climbing the walls by now and making every one miserable along with me . Instead you come out to play and cheer us all up. I hope you do get the boot on next week and things progress well for you.

You're right, Kaelee
That's why I think when Mary Beth is well & running, she is a 'riot'. I mean she probably will bring me down to my knees with laughters. (Why I am talking about MaryBeth as a third person
)
Well, we'll here cheering you on, Mary Beth. So, be good
.
Orchid
lol again
Thanks Kaelee and Orchid. Actually, I think I am driving my family crazy. When I get down, I try to turn it around by thinking of everything in a humorous way. Inevitably, it makes me feel better. :-)
Mary Beth
You poor thing. I spent the last month of my pregnancy on bed rest - and I had to lay on my left side the whole time and i got to stare at a wall. So, I can relate to your boredom and pain. I hope you recover very soon and I agree some people have a healing touch while others do not.
Tammy
MaryBeth, I second
MaryBeth,
I second (third?) the comments about you being a riot. Your posts able your accident have been very funny. Hope you can keep the humor when you "lose" the cast.

Wicked
What is even sadder is that I can listen to Wicked many more times than that and I am not on bedrest.
Having experienced bedrest several times for my back, I feel your pain. Have you started making the bathroom breaks longer....
Needlework is a good option.
But as boring as it is, bedrest is what your bones need. Hugs.

HUGS Tammy. I'm so glad I'm
HUGS Tammy. I'm so glad I'm not stuck on my side!!!!!!!
Me too, Fake Frenchie. Me too!!! I know it hurt like none ither when they straightened the foot for the cast. I'm sure putting weight on it next week is going to be quite a joy.:-)
{{{Michelle}}} I can't imagine back pain. One thing this has done is made me understand my mother A LOT more. She suffers from chronic back pain. And yep, the bathroom breaks have definitely gotten longer. I found facebook and that's helped. There are so many cool games on there, and my former students have found me, so I'm catching up with them. I didn't think about needlepoint. I used to be addicted to cross stitching. I have thought about getting a book and trying to knit. AND I DID check out a Learn to Speak Spanish audio course from the library.
