This is part of the Montana Mavericks series and I have been a bit hesitant to read it due to the theme, but a blog by Sadhbh convinced me to give it a try and I was glad. Allaire was married to DJ’s brother, but the marriage didn’t last. DJ and Allaire had been best friends growing up, but when she married his brother that bond broke and he moved away. He has come back to open a restaurant, can the two of them get it right this time? I thought this did a great job dealing with the issues related to Allaire seeing two brothers. While normally, this won’t work for me, here it just did. I loved the way she dealt with her issues and the way the marriage was discussed and dealt with. Hopefully, in Dax’s book, we will get to see DJ and Dax totally bury the past. Overall, a very good book.

I skipped this one in the series....
because I didn't like the brother thing. I guess I should have given a try, huh?

Kate - That was why I stalled on the series, I probably wouldn't have picked it up if Sadhbh hadn't told me it was good. I thought the author did a great job with a tough topic.

If I see it
at a UBS I might pick it up. I feel I probably missed a bit of the overall series, but thought the later books stood well on there own.

Kate, I would be happy to send it to you if you want it. Just email me if you want it with your address and I would be happy to drop it in the mail. I wasn't planning on keeping it.

Hey Cady - I'm glad that my recommendation worked out
for you, I can appreciate that some themes light hotspots - I think
everybody knows mine by now - but I really felt that she avoided all
the Yucky danger spots with this, though the brothers aspect didn't
particularly bother me.
Hope you feel the same way Kate, but feel free to blame me rather than Cady if it doesn't work for you

Just goes to show you that a good author can make most themes work. This is totally one of my yuck themes, but she made it work, but not ignoring and not focusing on it 100%. Thanks for the push.
