Betrayed

Format: Print Books
Series: Other

This is the second book of the House of Night series and it was every bit as enjoyable as the last.  The same cast of characters are back, but now Zoey is learning to embrace her goddess given gifts.  She's busy trying to get the Dark Daughters together, juggling three guys (!!!), and trying to figure out what's going on with Aphrodite (yes, that's really her name) and Neferet.  She's thrown into a tailspin when she suddenly finds herself unable to trust her mentor.  There is one part of the book that you see coming, but I couldn't help it, I still cried.  I won't give it away.  I was proud of myself for it not being a full-on snot cry, but I definitely teared up.  I've breezed through these books so quickly and enjoyed them so much that I went out and bought the newest one and copies of these two for my little sister.  I'm in the middle of another book right now, just to take a break, and then I'll finish Chosen.  OH, and I'm just going to throw this out there now--I don't like Loren.  I think he's trying to shore up his spot in Zoey's heart because of the power she's going to have, not because he's in love with a 16 year old girl.  Just throwing that out there.  I'll let you know if I'm off base!

Yay!! So I don't have to

Yay!! So I don't have to send you the third book. Chosen definitely throws some new things into the mess of Zoey's life. Leaves you really wishing for the fourth book already. And you learn all about Loren towards the end. I won't spoil it though. Poor Zoey and her woes.

Woey Zoey.

Woey Zoey, <snort>.  I just don't have a good feeling aobut Loren.  I'm nearly done with the Diana Duncan book I'm reading.  It took me a couple chapters to get into it, but I've really enjoyed it.  If you don't have it or haven't read it, I'll have to send it to you.  As soon as I'm done with that, I'm going back to Chosen.  YOu've made me curious now!
