Beyond Breathless by Kathleen O'Reilly

BLURB:

Nicknamed “The Porcupine,” Jamie McNamara has a tough-as-nails attitude that makes her a force to be

reckoned with on Wall Street. So it’s a shock even to her when she
seduces a sexy investment broker in a Hummer limo on the way to a
business meeting. But when her erotic escapade becomes the topic of the
“Red Choo Diaries” sex blog and threatens to destroy her steely
persona, Jamie realizes a fling isn’t always frivolous.

Used to getting what he wants, gorgeous man-about-town Andrew Brooks
knows a good thing when he sees it—and he sees and wants Jamie. Her
drive and passion have him consumed. He’s determined to transform their
passionate limo encounter into a long-term merger—and he’s prepared to
negotiate!

REVIEW: I don’t know, lately the Blaze books I’ve
been reading aren’t doing it for me. Something is off in the tones or
voices for me personally. This was yet another one I can’t say I loved.
I’m not sure what it is, obviously its not the jump into the sex part
or the graphic part–you’ll notice I’ve read quite a few authors who
write erotic–but I’m finding I don’t want to pick up any more Blaze’s
for whatever the reason is. The style overall doesn’t seem to work for
me and this is nothing against the authors, just my own personal taste.
*shrug* Who knows. In the meantime though I do have several more
Blaze’s I’ve already bought and intend to read.

that transcend the problem - authors like Jo Leigh, Lori Borrill, Sam Hunter and Jeanie London

I
was about to say this is in my TBR and just hasn't been calling my name
loudly enough and to ask whether to listen harder, but I think I'll
wait until after I've read Jo Leigh's latest, which should arrive early
in April

You're right

Sadhbh--I've had some author's who write Blaze that I LOVE, so maybe it is the author's particular voice that doesn't work for me.  I'm always wanting to give author's new to me a try though.  But your saying that reminded me its been a while since I read authors I know and love in this line...think I'm going to dig some out!
