Rosalyn Oakley has had enough of Joc Arnaud's henchman knocking on her door every day trying to get her to sell her land. So she goes to confront him in person. What neither of them expected was the instant chemistry that literally engulfed them.
To Joc, everything is negotiable and everyone has their price. But he was interested in the instant attraction enough to suggest dinner where Rosalyn could try to talk him out of wanting her land. Rosalyn knew this could be dangerous territory, but she had to try. What she didn't expect was Joc offering her one night together - with no strings attached. Does she accept it? Will this get the attraction out of her system? And what happens if she accidently gets pregnant?
I really enjoyed this story. Both characters are strong and likeable. Even with Joc's alpha male, he tends to show Rosalyn the real him, as opposed to what everyone else sees. He has a sister, who has a prior book, but that isn't relavent in reading this one. There was also a twist at the end I didn't expect, so I always find that cool.

I liked reading Joc's story, after seeing him in Leclaire's earlier book.

I'll have to go in search of the first one. I really do hate reading only part of any series.

Hi Sadhbh!
Up to you. How hard of an effort would it be? I'm thinking of keeping it once my coworker returns it (she doesn't keep anything). How much are you into alpha males? I could see this book being a Presents if had been set in Europe as opposed to Texas.
