Smith Donnell lost everything – his career, his family, his money – when he left the secret organization the Comitatus. But the greatest loss he suffered was the love of Arden Leigh. He never went very far however, working in the background to find a way to put a stop to their latest plot. Now, Arden needs his protection even more, whether she wants it or not.

Arden is the perfect society lady, dedicating her time to her time to her rec center for girls in Oak Cliff and her dedication to her father and brother. When she starts asking questions about a particular secret society at the request of an elderly friend, those queries put her in a very perilous position.

Smith is the only one who can save her from the dangerous enemies who will settle for nothing less than her death. Little did either of them know that their greatest challenge would be denying the still raging passion between them. Will this Knight in Blue Jeans succeed in protecting his lady love?

We may not be able to have any more of The Grail Keepers with the death of the Bombshell line, but The Blade Keepers are a more-than-satisfying replacement. Knight in Blue Jeans shows us that Evelyn Vaughn still has the magic involved in writing fascinating, adventurous, passionate stories, even with slight touch of the paranormal in the form of the history of the sword and the way the wielder connects with it.

Smith and Arden are a wonderful couple, meant to be together in every way that matters. Arden was deeply wounded when Smith abandoned their love a year ago and as such, finds it very hard to accept him back into her life, especially when it’s evident he still has many secrets from her. Smith is a very honorable man, to the point he loses everything when he turns his back on the Comitatus because of their loss of the true meaning of honor. These two have much to overcome before they can find happiness, but we just know the fireworks are going to be fiercely hot and long lasting when they finally come together. And boy are they ever!

Danger, intrigue, passion, and redemption can all be found in Knight in Blue Jeans. I cannot wait to see what will happen next in Trace’s installment in The Blade Keepers series!
