A murder in Paris, the mystery of the art world, a cat and mouse chase...sounds like another famous book, but this is Tom Mitcheltree's A Blink of an Eye. This is the story of Grant Reynolds, an American ex-cop who moves to Paris to escape his demons. While working at the Legal Attache's office in the American Embassy, he get swept up in a double murder investigation involving an American Heiress, and the son of a Bolivian diplomat. The murders appear to be the work of a famous international hit man.
I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, fast paced and takes place in my favourite city in the whole world. Some of the scenarios in the book were a little too convenient, but still entertaining. The Grant Reynolds character appears in more of Mitcheltree's book, so I would pick those up in the future.
