BLUEBONNET BELLE

I loved this book because it had a wonderful central conflict.  The hero was a doctor who believed doctors know best, and the heroine wanted to help women with more holistic approaches.  She is drawn to a woman who sells what the hero deems is rather a snake oil, and the way this conflict is worked out between the two of them makes for a compelling read.  Of course, I love historicals, and this book is inspirational as well, so there was a lot to draw me in.  Beyond this conflict, the heroine is engaged to another man and it takes time for her to realize that she and the doctor actually have more in common than first glance shows.

I lent this book to a friend and she loved it, too.  It's one of those lovely, refreshing reads where you're glad you bought the book.
