B.O.B.’s fall is a futuristic book. The setting is the year 2375 where advanced work with androids is prolific. The MacDougal is the leader of Cyber – Tronics, creator of the B.O.B. (Battery Operated Boyfriends), an advance life like sex android. The MacDougal is left near death when someone attempts to assassinate him to steal some advance technology. The MacDougal’s sister knows the only way he can survive his multiple wounds is to transfer his brain into that of B.O.B., so his body can be given a chance to heal. During the middle of the brain transfer a breach in security interrupts the completion of the transfer, and when the dust settles the B.O.B has escaped from the lab.
Mac knows only one thing; he must get to Elyiana Richards! However, he does not know why he instinctively knows that she is in danger. Mac also can’t explain why he feels like he does not even recognize his own body. While he swears he knows Elyiana’s body intimately he can’t understand why she does not recognize him as her lover.
***Rating good. I enjoyed this book even though I am not big on futuristic novels. I am still not sure about the overall plot of the book. But, I was hooked by The McDougal’s sister Amareth and her struggle to fight her attraction to Tael. I hope Leigh and Chadwick do the follow up story for these characters. My biggest criticism with this book is what kind of name is “The MacDougal”; it sounds more like a title than a name. I was thankful he did not know who he was throughout most of the book and just called himself Mac.
