New to me - Well this is only my second ever book by Patrice Michelle though I got one or two after I read her first one (haven't read them yet though) so I'm considering her as still new to me.
Police Detectice Kaitlyn McKinney has been called out on her first real case as detective to investigate a burned body in a local park.When she gets there, she discovers this body is nothing like she has ever seen before. It looks vaguely humanoid but what is it?
Landon Rourke suffers daily for a mistake he made several years ago and his self imposed penance is to play secret guardian to Kaitlyn. A long ago prophecy stated there would someday be peace between vampires and Lupreda - werewolves. But this murder throws darkness on the pending outcome of that prophecy. Now he and Kaitlyn are working together to find answers and he begins to see the destiny laid out for him. But what will Kaitlyn do when she discovers the terrible truth Landon hides?
Wowsa! I loved Resurrection and I think I loved Insurrection even more! More is revealed about the legacy of the wolves through Kaitlyn and Landon. We even get a short visit with Jachin early on in this book. But this is all about Landon and Kaitlyn. Very emotional and yes, it made me cry, at least three times.

i couldn't put it down once
i couldn't put it down once I picked it up! And since it was such a gorgeous day I couldn't stand to be cooped up in the house. So I went out on the porch with my book and my furkids and spent the entire afternoon out there reading away.
