Book 55 - Rogue Angel Book 5: Forbidden City by Alex Archer

Annja Creed is working a dig in California to find an old gold mining camp but uncovers the greatest mystery she's faced yet. A discovery of an ancient belt plaque that shouldn't exist sets off an attack nearly killing Annja. Now she's trying to find the connection these miners had to an ancient legend about Forbidden City of Thieves in the desert.

Annja is off to China, and the desert, with ally Roux at her side to find the answers. With enemies from all sides, Annja must find the answers before they all end up dead. What does the belt plaque mean and why are a band of assassins and another assassin working alone interested?

I'm still loving the Rogue Angel series and already have book 6 loaded intot he CD player in the car and the next 3 lined up. There's always a lot of action in these books, and there still was here, but it seemed to take a little longer to get going. After the initial attack that sets Annja on her quest to find the City of Thieves, there is a bit of a lull as all the parts come togetehr and lead up to the big show down in the final segment of the book.

Rogue Angel

I read the first 2 books when they were first released.  Looks like I will have to find the rest and a few free days to read them.

I really liked the Goddess Cup series from Bombshell and was devastated when they ceased so abruptly, but then I found Rogue Angel.

Thank you for reminding me about them.

I've been buying the Rogue

I've been buying the Rogue Angel books since they started but never found time to read them. Discovering them in audio was perfect for me and nbow I'm flying through the series.

I liked the GrailKeepers series too and was sorry to see it end. Did you read the Madonna Key books? They are a different series but are connected to the GrailKeepers series.
