Header PromotionThe great thing about National's are the books you get. And lately I've been on a book reading binge. I can't remember reading this many books in the past year. Heck, in the past month. Work, school and writing got in the way.
Which sucks because that's why I started to write in the first place. I wanted to make a reader sigh when they read the last sentence in my book. I know, huge ego, but I know what it feels like to be down in the dumps and then read a good book.
But, reading is a writer's best friend. I like to believe when you read on some level you are taking in your likes, dislikes, what works and what doesn't work.
Better than that reading a good book can motivate you. *so can a book that you want to throw across your room*

Julianne MacLean's Surrender to a Scoundrel made me a total fangirl. :-) I loved the story and her wit that shone through. I'm also reading an old Liz Fielding and am reminded why I like her books.
I think when I hand in this ms I'm going to take a week to catch up on odd jobs around the house and just READ. I have a tbr with so many books that I'm looking forward to!

TBR piles are Limitless
TBR piles are a great way to lose yourself after finishing a WIP. I like to think of them as a treasure hunt. You never know if you are going to find another author you love.
Right now I'm a Stephanie Rowe fan girl. Loved her first book. Her voice had punch and it made me laugh and the story was original and...I'll stop because I'm gushing.
