Back Cover:
Charlotte had married Matthew Derby eleven years ago, to give her baby a father —after Logan Kennedy had deserted her. Now Matthew was dead, and Charlotte had met Logan again and realised that the past was by no means dead. And that Logan attracted her as much as ever...
My Review:
For a very early HP, this was still surprisingly good, it didn't seem outdated. I was sad at the 11 years the couple lost, which they could have spent together. I liked that the hero never lost track of the heroine and always intended to claim her back as soon as she was freed from her marriage. I disliked the way the heroine pulled information out of her son about Logan, while at the same time lying to her son about who his father was when he asked. I disliked that everyone knew or guessed Logan was the father before the son was told. I disliked that the heroine left her son at the end for a while, leaving the hero to explain. Other than those annoyances, it was enjoyable watching the hero/heroine dance around each other and fight their feelings this time around.
Rating: 3/5 stars, a good read.
