After taking Annie's Divine's virginity, Tack Brandon left Inspiration, Texas, not coming back for ten years. Now that his father has died he learned that Annie and his father have formed a friendship. When he left Annie and his father didn't get along. Tack also didn't get along with his father. Annie's plan is to get even with Tack for leaving her ten years ago. But they didn't expect such strong feelings engulfing them.

Annie vowed she wouldn't be like her mother. Giving up her dreams for one man. She knows when an opportunity arises, she has to take it even if it means leaving Tack. And Tack knows he has to let her. Sure he said he loved her, but is he offering marriage, babies, a home?

This was a wonderful read. The back blurb was sort of misleading. I was expecting Annie coming out trying to seduce Tack but she tried to avoid him because of his affect on her.
