{A Brief History Of }THE WARS OF THE ROSES

{A Brief History of} The Wars of the Roses written by Desmond  Seward is brings history to life in all its glory, and yet it isn't written like a history book -- it's 453 pages of the juiciest gossip column you can come across.  It's about the houses of York and Lancaster in England during the sixteenth century, and the Tudor dynasty's eventual rise to the throne.  This was a turning point in British history, and it's a vivid picture of the splendor of English medieval society and is an entertaining read.

As I've probably already said, I love history and historical figures--yummy!
