After reading my first SPICE book last year, I was a bit traumatized...to say the least, I don't even think I was able to finish it. I decided to give the series another go after hearing what a fantastic writer Megan Hart was.
When I first started reading Broken, I constantly had a reminder that this was an erotic novel looming in the back of my mind but after a few chapters in, I thought of the book as more than just an erotic novel, it had a great story...with a lot of explicit sex scenes thrown in every chapter.
The story focuses on Sadie, whose husband gets into a terrible skiing accident that leaves him paralyzed. It takes you through the ups and downs of their relationship, how difficult it is for Sadie to feel loved without any physical touch from her husband and how she finds that through a friend, Joe, who shares stories of his sexual escapades with her every month.
This was a wonderful book and I am proud to say, I'm not afraid of Spice books any more. Woo hoo.

This was a good review. I have read other Megan Hart novels (SPICE books) that were quite steamy. I have been searching for other Megan Hart novels to read too. I have this one in my wish list as I hadn't convinced myself that I wanted to get it. You have convinced me by your review to buy it. It has me intriged. I wonder what happens at the end in this book? I am dying to know. Do Joe and Sadie get together or does she stay with her husband? Great review!!!!
