• This is a sequel to The Horseman’s Secret. Brett is the estranged brother to Will in the first book. And Claire is the sister of Reagan, the heroine in the first book. And that is where the conflict begins. Brett doesn’t want to act on his attraction to Claire because if their relationship ends awkwardly, it would cause trouble for Will and Reagan. Brett has already caused enough trouble for his family. As is printed on the cover, “This time he’s going to make things right”. And you root for him all the way.

Claire has taken a leave from her post graduate education to teach for one year at a small town in north central Nevada. She rents a trailer across the field from her landlord, Brett, and only a mile from the school. She’s attracted to Brett which surprises her because she's not a cowboy type of girl. When the year is up she plans to return to Las Vegas and work on her next degree.

I liked the way this book took me into rural Nevada. I live in a fairly rural part of Nevada myself but it’s not far from the city. In this book I felt the wide open spaces of that part of Nevada. I loved the characters and wondered to the end how they would resolve their conflict. I liked how it worked out.

April Mini Challenge: It’s raining Men

Brett is all cowboy. I love the cover art - perfect. It’s what I miss about eBooks. Although the art is included, it’s small and sometimes distorted.

woohoo both

I checked the TBR pile and I have both, now I just need a bunch more hours in the day to read <sigh>

Let me know if you find

Let me know if you find those hours. I'm looking for some too!
