THE BROTHER RETURNS by Jeannie Watt, HSR #1474 Feb 08

Bk #45--Synopsis: Brett Bishop made a big mistake more than ten years ago and is paying for it by a self-imposed exile from his family. Living in Barlow Ridge is fairly isolated and he's determined to maintain a distance from anyone in town--including his brother's sil and his new tenant Claire Flynn.

Claire Flynn agrees to take on the teaching position for 1 year in the small town for research on combined classrooms. She doesn't count on falling in love with the town--or her landlord. If only she understood his reluctance to join family get-togethers...

My thoughts: Loved this book as much as I did the first one. Doesn't happen very often that I find a sequel as entertaining as the original.

April mini-challenge: Brett so fits this story and only Claire is crazy enough to help him overcome his issues. I could so easily go for Brett but I lack Claire's exuberance to face the challenge of changing him. The cover is excellent--other than the fact the guy doesn't have brown eyes which is essential to the story. In the movie adaptation, the cover guy would be perfect...with brown contacts of course. Any ideas where they find these guys?
