A community is only as interesting as the people in it and we wanted to find a way to introduce you to all your interesting fellow eHarlequin.com citizens. What better way than to showcase you with customizable profile pages where you can introduce yourself and keep a record of your recent community activity.
Now that you've Registered/Logged in, click the "My Profile" button at the top of the page to access your new profile page. At the top of that page you'll see two links, "VIEW", and "EDIT". Click the "EDIT" link and look at all of the information you are now able to share. Be sure to upload a photograph of yourself or an icon that really represents YOU because that photo or icon is going to be visible all over the eHarlequin.com community pages, not only on your blog and forum posts but in your friend’s gallery and maybe even as next month’s Featured Member!
You'll find three sections to add content to, today we're going to go over the Account settings.
- Account settings
- Personal information
- Social Networks
Section One: Pick a color, any color: OK, not any color...but three is a lot more than you'll find at some of those other websites, and two more than we had on our old site.
Did you notice those three tiny blocks of color and the invitation to "pick a color" in your profile page "EDIT" console? Click one and see what happens! Cool, right?
The next section down is where you can input your favorite quote, or something meaningful to add as a signature to your messaging across the site. This will add itself to the end of every forum post or blogpost you make and makes a statement that's uniquely you. And don't forget to give us a brief summary of who you are in your bio section, we'll get to know more about you when you start posting your messages on the site.
If you notice that the posts from other people are displaying as if they were posted in the future, there’s a section in your profile page to choose the correct time zone that you live in. Like magic, you'll be back to the future!
Your personal profile lets you share all your favorite discussions, the blogs you read, your interests, favorite online buddies and so much more. Build the page you want the world to see!
