Third (and my absolute favorite) in the Three Sisters Inn series

Caroline Hampton suspected her brand new husband was up to something, but before she could confront him he was killed in a car crash.  Except weeks later one of his “business associates” was claiming her husband was very much alive.  Caroline fled to the safety of her family’s inn in Amish country only to find police chief Zachary Burkhalter waiting for her.  He watched her like a hawk believing she knew something about her husband’s disappearance.  Very creepy things start happening to Caroline.  Was is her husband trying to get a message to her or someone playing mind games?  Zachary doesn’t know what’s going on but does know that Caroline needs his protection either from herself or from someone trying to make her pay for her husbands actions.

My absolute favorite in this series.  Very, very light on the romance, though not on the attraction.  Wonderfully creepy suspense!
