Call Me Wicked by Jamie Sobrato (Blaze #328)

Lauren a witch and Carson her human lover are on the run from witchhunters. In a vision she's foreseen her own death on a beach with Carson. Can she avoid her fate or is it inevitable? What about her family's reaction to them being lovers.
This was disappointing because it didn't go far enough. Her family's reactions, the Order, their fate - it all seemed rushed and skimmed over, while a little more detail could have made it into a very good trilogy/miniseries

Hi Sadhbh: I've read this

Hi Sadhbh:

I've read this one and thought Jamie has written better books. It was just too dark and brooding for me.

Take care..........Wayne

I get you

that's why I felt she could have made it into a trilogy, you can
"skim" over funny episodes, if you want to do dark and brooding you
need the extra typeface, otherwise it doesn't go far enough to grab
people

In a reading slump (and general morale slump) at the
moment. Knowing what's causing it doesn't do anything about giving me
energy to dig myself out of it Undecided

Hugs and have a good weekend

Loved

And I actually loved this book!!  I loved the whole dark brooding atmosphere as it really worked I thought.

I'm in the middle . . .

I've also read this story and liked the brooding aspect.  But like Sadbhb, I would have liked more detail.  Oh well, sometimes you can't have everythingWink

Sometimes I just want more

and sometimes that's just not possible

This book was fine, but it could have been so much better with extra details and more development
