CARING FOR HIS CHILD by Amy Andrews (HMR)

SYNOPSIS:  Fran Holloway has moved to Ashworth Bay to escape her memories.  She's lost everything in the world that ever mattered to her with the death of her daughter.  How in the world will she cope with a young girl living next door to her in her new home, a young girl who wants her love?  Fran wants to keep her heart safe but will Miranda and her father, David, break through her barriers?

MY THOUGHTS:  What a tearjerker!  Amy Andrews left me sobbing, both in sadness and in joy, as CARING FOR HIS CHILD unfolded.  Fran's pain is so heartwrenching that her journey back to living is all the more powerful.  CARING FOR HIS CHILD is an intense read as the emotional turmoil is ever present.

Amy Andrews never shirks away from tackling tough issues and this is evident throughout CARING FOR HIS CHILD.  Ms. Andrews writes a story that doesn't offer empty hopes but instead faces real life issues in a realistic manner.  The issues of death and organ donation are seen in a very thought provoking, emotionally moving way through the eyes of Fran, Miranda, and David.

CARING FOR HIS CHILD is perhaps the best tearjerker I've read yet this year.  Amy Andrews shows us the light that glimmers even in the darkest hours in CARING FOR HIS CHILD.

What's the copyright date in this one.  Oh, it's tough reading your blogs on my Amy Andrews Medicals when I only have one book by her unread. I may have to go shopping for more books by her after I finish my March HMRs.  This one sounds really, really good.  Thanks!

Tear jerker

Oh Debbie - what a surprise to find this review.

Caring For His Child won me a Cataromance Reviewers Choice award in 2006. I was so pleased as I consciously made it about an issue very close to my heart - organ donation.

Fran first came to me as a brief image of a sad, thin blonde woman sitting on a desolate beach, her arms hunched around her knees to ward off the cold, staring at the waves, trying to find somewhere to anchor herself. I just new I had to give her a HEA.

It was my 5th book Merri with a 06 copyright date.

Fran...

really broke my heart with her story.  I was so glad she got her HEA.  This book really touched me in a way I don't think I can adequately convey.
