Before I forget this is in the first person and very humorous. I know lots of you don't care for your romances to be in first person. I don't care
Maggie Beaumont is looking for the love of her life! but in this small, beach town in Northern Maine not many Knights in Shining Armor are around. Maggie is a twin and of course her sister Christy has the perfect life and Maggie wants that too.
The book opens as Maggie has met the hottest guy at her diner, she's the owner of Joe's Diner, and he's come in and introduces himself but she doesn't hear him say he's the new priest! He isn't wearing his collar so she tells everyone she knows she's fallen in love with the perfect man. Well it turns out she and everyone else in town meet Father Tim at his Mass on Sunday morning and is her face red
He and another priest, in a close town, line up blind dates for her and of course they are a source of humor and irritation. While she's waiting for one such date her old boyfriend and his wife show up to begin a chitchat and all at once here's the most unfriendly lobsterman come to her rescue acting as though he's the man she's waiting for. Throughout the book the book we see Malone as maybe the right man for her but.....
There are so many lovable secondary characters in this little town that Maggie doesn't want to leave--she likes life here. The silent character is her yellow lab, Colonel. Even if you aren't a dog person Colonel will find his way into your heart. Fun read
