I added another 2k to my Bites story last night, and I'll peck away at it throughout the weekend. My goal has been to finish this book and have it ready to submit by the end of the month. So far so good.
This month won't be cutting me any slack, however. If I want to make that goal I'll have to swim for it. There are three birthdays this month to organize, starting with my dad's big day this weekend. There is also Mother's Day this Sunday, and my hubby has been working out of town so my prime weekend writing hours have been temporarily nixed while he's home.
The 16th is my Oldests last day of school for the year. I'm already anticipating the stampede of teenagers through my house - too, he wants to take on a job this summer. Not even sure I'm ready yet to be thinking about my baby working. :P
On the otherhand, the writing itself is coming along fine. My characters are talking, and I've managed my 1k daily goal with only a few shortfalls. I tell ya, I live in this mild state of fear that they'll stop talking to me at any minute. But I think good to go because I know which direction I want the story to go. I wrote ahead a bit and created a very rough, skeletal outline of the ending. So I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now to just reach for it...
Live, love, write...
