Over on Goodreads, I keep a list of the next six books in my funky little rotation. It's just another way of keeping track of what I'm reading and another way to keep myself honest.
So I think I'll do that over here.
I also think I'm going to expand it to twelve. If I only read one book a month, that'd keep me busy for the year. Obviously (hopefully) I'll read more than that.
I strike them out as I finish them. And occasionally I deviate from order and read something else. So let's see how I do. (* counts for the 50% HQN tally)
The Prey by Allison Brennan
1. 16 Lighthouse Road by Debbie Macomber *
2. Charlie's Angels by Cheryl St. John *
3. Kiss Yesterday Goodbye by Leigh Michaels *
4. Truth or Dare by Delilah Dawson
5. His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik
6. Edge of the Moon by Rebecca York
7. Under Siege by Catherine Mann *
8. Lazaro's Revenge by Jane Porter *
9. The Mountain's Call by Caitlin Brennan *
10. Rose Daughter by Robin McKinley
11. Bear Daughter by Judith Berman
12. Something from the Nightside by Simon R. Green

re: coming down the TBR mountain
I've been meaning to read His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik...a friend whose reading taste I respect recommended it. I don't have a copy, yet, though, so you might beat me to it!
It's fun seeing people's TBR lists and 2008 reading wishlists. My own decisions on what to read next are completely scattered...sometimes I'll buy a book and read it that day, and other times will wait five years....

Jayejean: Allison's a chapter mate of mine, so I feel sort of bad that I haven't read all of her books the moment the came out. This one started really slowly for me, but it's gotten better the further into it I am.
Lady A, I'm the same way. Sometimes I absolutely can't wait to read a book, and others, I'm content to add it to the range. I have a lot of books that have been waiting a while. :)
