The cover art fairy is smiling on me!

I normally blog on Mondays, but I just got my cover for my June Intrigue, PROTECTIVE INSTINCTS, and I wanted to share. PROTECTIVE INSTINCTS is the first book in my Precinct: Brotherhood of the Badge mini-series, and features Sawyer Kincaid and Melissa Teague. Some of you sharpies may remember them as supporting players in my Intrigue, UP AGAINST THE WALL.

Wow! I think the cover is just wonderful. Cool I've been so fortunate with my last three covers--they're not just good and appropriate, but they're fabulous! Eye-catching AND they convey the mood or characters of the story. Spot on!

So I want to send a big thanks to the art department!

Monday, I'll be back to blog about a new Intrigue continuity series coming up in 2009 to celebrate Intrigue's 25th birthday! Here are a few clues: crime lab, FBI, Native Americans, murder mystery, twins, reunions, secret babies, survival--and some of your favorite Intrigue authors! (mine, too!) Wink

Enjoy!

Hi Julie

That is a great cover and I love the title. I can't wait to read it. The new author series sounds really good. It has a lot of the elements I enjoy reading about.

Margie :)

Cover art fairies indeed!!

Verrrry nice.  And just so you know Julie, I don't think June is going to be here soon enough.  Not that I want to wish time away, but really... that means that I have to wait?!

And Sawyer... yum!  I don't remember Melissa very much ~ going to have to do some checking ~ but Sawyer, yep him I remember.

Now, now--patience, folks

Now, now--patience, folks Innocent

Yes, Sawyer was the undercover cop working as a bartender in UP AGAINST THE WALL.  Melissa was the petite cocktail waitress with the abusive ex-hubby who didn't accept that he was an ex, and tried to kill her.  Bec (Rebecca), the heroine in WALL became her friend and nearly got killed herself trying to help her (which, of course, put hero Seth in a particularly bad mood, and nearly blew his cover trying to rescue them both). Surprised

Okay, here's another teaser (I have to finish a proposal this week before I can spend too much time playing on the boards Wink )

The continuity series will be called the Kenner County Crime Unit.  And it starts in January 2009 and runs through August, with Debra Webb writing an online serial to help launch it, and Delores Fossen writing an online serial later in the series.  So that'll be 10 stories!  10!

I'll see if I can get some of the other authors to stop by the blog next week, too, and share some of their inside info Cool

Take care,

Julie
