This is the first of a 4 book series about siblings broken apart after their parents died. The oldest son was in an earlier book that is part of the Starrs of the West series. I have not read that book but this one stands alone.
Wade is a police officer on a task force looking for a serial killer. Tierney is an empath who works with other police departments. Wade does not want to use her but he finds out that she is good and gives him information on finding the killer that he would not get anywhere else. Tierney is taking care of her grandmother who has Alzheimers and is getting worse each day. These two unlikely people fall for each other and don't have huge misunderstanding like so many do.
The other story through this book is about the brother looking for his missing siblings. We know where the other brother is but his book should be very good. How they find the girls will be interesting. i am hoping that we see more about Wade and Tierney in the other books.

Not too long ago too, and really enjoyed it. And, like you, hope to see Wade and Tee in the other books to come.
