Dark Victory by Elizabeth Oldfield (HP 1800)

Back Cover:

Flirting with danger.

Cheska Rider thought that she'd fully recovered from her one-night stand with Lawson.  She was wrong!   Lawson Giordano liked a woman who had her own thoughts, her own identity, and ultimately the ability to make him jealous.  In short, he liked the woman that Cheska had become.  Cheska had decided that the time was right to pay Lawson back for walking out on her.  It would be interesting to see just how much provocation Lawson would take!

My Review:

This was a fun, sexy ride with a good history between the hero/heroine.  They each had their issues and take on what happened between them five years ago.  Now that they are thrust back into each other's lives by coincidence, they work together, get to know each other, see how they grew, and become involved/attracted to each other.  I enjoyed them together and I think the separation probably did them good, they were on much firmer ground to start a serious relationship after the time apart to grow.  The chemistry was great, there were multiple conflicts and mysteries between them, which was all well-written.

Rating: 4/5 stars, a fun read about two people meeting again and "clicking" really well.
