I've really enjoyed this second book in the trilogy. This one focuses on Clay Montgomery and Allie McCormick. Allie is a cold-case detective who tries to help Clay's stepsister Madeline find out what happened to Maddy's father 19 years ago. Things really heat up between Clay and Allie. I usually try to take a break in between books that are part of a trilogy or series. The only problem is that I end up reading the first book and don't have a chance to get back to the series. That's not the case with this series. I'm making sure I read the last book because I just have to read the conclusion.
