Dear Santa by Karen Templeton (SE November 2007 1864)

Connecticut mogul Grant Braeburn never thought he was father material, even though his nearly four-year-old daughter should have convinced him otherwise. But then his ex-wife's death made him Haley permanent parent. Her only parent. He needed help in a hurry. It came in the form of Mia Vaccaro, the lively lovely party planner who had been his ex wife's best friend.

Would you sleep with your late best friend's ex-husband? That is a question that is frequently asked by romance authors.  I see so many of these books about sleeping with your brother/sister/best friend's spouse and I'm never really sure of what the answer should be. My best friend is a guy and he's gay and while I admire his taste in men (we bonded over guy-watching in college). I don't think that his type would be particularly interested in me. Sorry...got sidetracked. This book is very good despite posing a very unrealistic question. This one is going into my keeper pile.
