This book picks up a year or two after The Dead Room. In this book, both Gen and Joe are carrying on with their lives. When someone kills a member of the Poe society that Gen's mom belongs too, she gets scared. She wants to hire Joe to investigate, but she also wants to get closer to him. As the two investigate the case, they begin to connect, but both of them begin having some psychic visions as well. Will they be willing to accept their changed lives - both the paranormal and the romantic - and will the killer let them? I enjoyed this book, not as much as the Dead Room, but liked the book and ther premise of this one. Makes me want to pick up a biography about Poe as I don't know a lot about him. Overall, a very good story.
