I've been waiting patiently to finish Marked by Evil, the MIRA online read, before starting this one. After all, you've got to finish the prequel first, right?
I'll start by saying The Devil's Footprints was a gripping read. I thought I'd be a good soccer mom (hahaha) and take it to read during soccer practice. Kiddo kept having meltdowns on the field, and it was really hard to put down the book and reassure kiddo that it really wasn't too cold to play soccer. Well, it kinda was. My little fingers froze as I turned the pages, but I couldn't stop reading. I was irritated when practice ended because I had so much more to read.
If you've read the prequel, you know this is a fairly dark read. It's a pretty intense psychological ride, that's for sure. I loved how Amanda kept readers guessing as to who the killer was. She had a lot of red herrings and questions that made you think. The only thing that is still driving me nuts is she left some questions about the secondary characters open. I'm DYING for answers. So I'm hoping this means there will be other books, looking at the lives of the other characters. There were so many secrets in this book... I want to know the answers to the rest.
