The Diplomat's Wife

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book after having loved the Kommandant's Girl so much. I didn't remember a whole lot about Marta, nor did I have much recollection of her personality. Once I started this book, however, I was completely engrossed! I thought Marta's story was even more interesting than Emma's, though I was glad to find out what happened to Emma post-Kommandant's Girl. Although some of the plot twists were slightly unbelievable--from time to time, I thought "yeah right!" about the twists and turns--I loved this book all the same. The imagery was very realistic and I could easily picture Marta wandering the streets of London bewildered and alone. I highly recommend this book, and I really hope Pam Jenoff continues this tale and follows Marta to America. I can just imagine what may be in store for her there...

I just finished it last

I just finished it last night, infact I contemplated ditching my soccer game because I wanted to finish it. I sacrificed some sleep in order to have it all done after my game.

So good, although unlike you, I totally loved every single one of the twists and turns and believed everything...it's just like what happens in the movies, you know? Not believeable for real life, but totally works in the entertainment world.

I can only wish that dudes who's lives I've put into danger on countless occassions love me enough to keep coming back to me. Yeah, right.

a page turner, for sure

HI Katy, I also had a lot of trouble suspending disbelief at some of the plot twists, and yet, I found myself unable to put it down. Definitely highly entertaining! I should save a little something for the review I now have to post!
