The advance reading copy of Pam Jenoff's latest book is moving so quickly around the office from reader to reader, you can tell this is one hot book!
I must say I had mixed feelings after reading The Kommandant's Girl but was really interested in reading Marta's story. The Diplomat's Wife takes the reader on a roller coaster ride from a Nazi prison to the streets of Paris on the day WWII ends to post war London, the Soviet takeover of Prague and more! I had some real difficulty suspending my disbelief in some of the plot twists in this book, but they certainly add a great deal to both the adventure and the romance, and made this one a real page turner. I finished this book in about 3 days - nothing for most of you challenge readers out there, but something of a record for me.
