James and Melissa have been involved for a couple of years, but both are dissatisfied – he, because she spends too much time at work and she, because he doesn’t want children. He is ready to call it quits, when they find out they are pregnant. What will they do, can they repair their relationship and move forward? This book, while starting out good, had an ending that dissatisfied me. The two rarely ever talked about their feelings – not having their big talk until the labor scene – and truthfully, labor without drugs, is not the time for any real talks. Their inability to talk, made compromise impossible. So for me, I was unhappy and wondered if the couple would in the end be happy or if their communication problems would continue. Overall a good story.
