Lisa Singleton has an unusual roommate--a fifty-foot dragon named Caleb who has glittering scales and a bad attitude. Little does she know that Caleb is actually a powerfull warrior sent to protect her from those out to steal her magic and destroy the world. Lisa never knew she had any magic worth stealing...
Then Lisa's life is threatened by a black gragon and an evil witch--and she suddenly finds herself in the arms of a tall, naked, sexy stranger with rippling muscles. Turns out the hunk is Caleb--in human form--and if he doesn't stop distracting her with those gorgeous bedroom eyes, they may not have time to stop their enemies before all of existence is wiped out.
At least Lisa and Caleb will have savored every last minute....
Rating: 3.5 & 4 (3.5 for the middle that didn't work well at all for me)
I chose this story because i'm coming to have a thing for stories with dragons.
There was so much about this book i really enjoyed, and characters i really became attached to...but there was a fair bit in the middle somewhere that the story was missing something for me and i debated picking up a different book for awhile...but i knew me, and was worried i wouldn't pick this one up again, so i stuck with it and i'm glad i did cause it got much better again.
Thru the ruff patch i was saying to myself, "well, at least now i don't have to buy book#2", but after finishing this one and really enjoy the latter parts..i've changed my mind and want to read more about these people and find out what's going on in their lives.

Hmmmm
sounds yummy.... I just got a dragon book called Kiss of Fire by Deborah Cooke. It sounds really good. You should look into it. I think it is first in a new series.

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!
I think...
I liked this one better than you from the sounds of it but it was actually the second book that I LOVED. Parts of the first book felt like they were leading up to the second book, if that makes sense....

Hey Kathy!
This is one of those books I had to really restrain myself from buying.....as I really liked the cover and blurb. But I had spent my book money quota for the month at the time.
I have read books that kind of lose their momentum halfway, but if I struggle through a few chapters pick right back up. Glad you were able toget past the slow part and enjoy the rest of the story!
Although your review is wonderful, I think I will still wait on buying it, until I get through some of these books in my pile. I think....

Hi Jeannie, I just came
Hi Jeannie, I just came from reading amazon reviews for Kiss Of Fire, and it sounds interesting. I look forward to hearing what you think of it once you read it. I'm also going to add it to my wishlist so i don't forget about it. Thanx.
Hi Debi, I really did enjoy this story...but there was a chapter or so that, i don't know, it was missing something(substance?) for me...like the writer got distracted from what she was writing or something.., so i came out of the story too? But since i had been enjoying it so much, i stuck with it, and it got really good again. I'm excited to hear you "Loved" the second one even more.
Hi Tammy, I left a book behind i really liked the sounds/looks of at the grocery store the other day as well. I planned on remembering the authors name and the title so i could look it up at amazon when i got home...but by the time i got home and remembered to check, i'd forgotten the author/title. Then i wished i'd bought it. lol
Yah, i've read books that i've had to struggle thru for a short while, and then they got better. But i find with sooo many good books waiting in my tbr...and the knowing that many will likely never get read if i don't start getting choosier...i find i'm getting far to quick to put books aside, in favor of picking up another book that might hold my attention more. I often plan to get back to them, but with so many wonderfull books calling my name...that can take a looong while.

I read this one recently
I read this one recently too. I have read quite a few since then but if i remember correctly, that middle part yo're talking about was all the preparation for book 2 in the series. I havne't read book 2 yet thoughit is in my pile and I hope to get to it eventually. most people said they liked that one better. And I think book 3 is out later this year.

Your very likely correct
Your very likely correct Kelley, in that it was future story building. Since i don't have to, I pay little attention to those details, and just read the story.

Hey Kathy!
Hey Kathy!
Heehee, that has happened to me as well, forgetting the name and title. But perhaps that is a good thing, with my TBR pile threatening to bring down the house!
I still try to finish most of the books I start; they have to be pretty awful for me not to. I do, however, read chapters here and there of my next books, and they often get finished before the "bad" book.
The book I am reading now, is likely going to go on my Top Ten list for the year....I think you may know which book I am speaking of....care to guess??

Hey Tammy! That's exactly
Hey Tammy! That's exactly what i later thought..."it's a good thing i forgot, or it would likely have joined my over crowded tbr" .
What happens with me sometimes is, if a book is moving slower than other books i've got going or get going, it can sometimes get bumped aside for many others for so long, it may never get finished, or, i have to start over cause i've forgotten everything. I really don't like to leave a book unfinished unless it's a complete dud though...cause it makes me feel guilty.
Oh Yay!! I'm so excited to hear it's blowing you away like it did me!!!!
