I find I'm really missing the Dream Team blog as it was last year. I used to go and read the summaries of the varied books read by the different people on the team and the sharp witty commentaries of My Dearest Gnat. Now that there is no central team blog, the reviews are separate from the commentaries and both are fairly hard to find. Plus, the format with teasers drives me crazy.
It seems to me that there are less comments too. I used to enjoy reading the comments as much as the reviews. It felt like more of a community than it now does.
Does anyone feel the same way?

I understand what you mean
You can use the Dream Team tag to find all the book reviews and if
you really want me to, i'll also put the tag on my "ordinary" blog
entries
I'm hoping the RSS feeds will work out once all the bugs
have been squished, but I reckon that will take the entire month of
January
All we can do is be patient

I would like to have the Dream Team tag on your commentary blogs, but I don't know if that will be OK with the PTB.

Well, I'm tagging all my blogs ...............
whether book review or not with our Team name ..... the purpose for the tag is to make content easier to find
so as we don't have a Team blog this year, and Jayne is allowing us to tag the team names, I'd say it's fine to tag all the entries with the team name
FF, on Monday, I think ... very very briefly when I had clicked on "My Blog" ..... all of my entries appeared in full however, the comments buttons were not there .... so I think they are definitely working on that aspect as well, but they may be having trouble getting the # of comments to show and to allow members to comment from the full view version

While i'm enjoying all the wonderfull new changes made to the eH site...the one thing i am "really" missing...is the way the blogs were set up before and the ease of entering a blog and seeing all the posts at a glance., and the fact that it was soooo much quicker and easier to get caught up with everyone...and i can tell i will never be caught up the way it's setup this year.

Team Blog
Hi All,
LIke everyone I'm missing that team blog togetherness. It is harder to find my team mates, yes I'm using favorites, friends, etc., but it just isn't the same! We were a real group now it seems to scattered. I also think I spend more time here getting from one place to another. While adjusting to all the changes I am trying to keep an open mind about the newness!!
I'll be back later to post another book or it might be tomorrow. I feel like I'm not reading as much cause I'm here to see what is happening or I'm taking care of other necesseties of life!!
See you all later.
Take care, happy reading,
Donna M, Dream Team member
I'm getting used to the new format but...
I agree that it doesn't feel as much like a community as it did last year. Maybe that, too, will just take getting used to. By clicking on the Dream Team tag, the grand Challenge blog, or my friends' profiles I'm able to keep up pretty much with what folks are doing as long as I check every day. Theoretically things should slow down a little soon assuming folks are still trying to clear their beginning-of-the-year blog backlog.

I'm feeling a little lonely too...
The community aspect just doesn't feel the same. Hopefully it will come with time. I noticed that over 1200 books have been blogged. If I've read 30 of them, I'd be surprised. I miss the comments - and you are right I think there were more last year. I click over to my friends but I get the feeling that nobody's home. The chitchat just isn't there or is much harder to find. One thing I do check on my friends list is their favourites to see what they've been enjoying. I found this one on KathyD's so decided to drop in.
I want to be optimistic - it is early days yet. But I know I did not feel this way last year (my 1st year on the challenge).

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the pleasure is having lots to do and not doing it!
Time will tell.
Isn't that what they say? I hope so.
