Drop Dead Gorgeous by Kimberly Raye, Blaze 4/2008 Love At First Bite series

From the back cover: "Undead and unsatisfied?"

Dillon has been best friends with Meg since childhood.  He has always been a geek, the biggest one in Skull Creek.  Meg can't quite believe Dillon's transformation from geek to studly cowboy.  She finds it difficult to believe the hunk that is attracting all the women is the friend she has known for so long.

Meg has been trying for years to turn herself from the sports expert into a sexy woman that men would want.  Her goal is to make Tilly's infamous "Hot Chicks" list.  Since her love life is lacking she keeps trying new ways to make herself sexier.  She has been taking classes online and in person for years to improve her knowledge and sexuality.

Dillon is a force to be reckoned with since becoming a vampire.  Meg has no idea what has happened to her friend until one night she senses his presence on her balcony.  What happens then seems more like a dream, a very hot dream!  Meg is determined to make him want her so badly he will make the first move.

Even though vampires are not a favorite theme of mine this was an enjoyable read.  It is the second book in a series about men that are trying to once again become human.  Interesting concept!

Hmmmm.  I do believe I have

Hmmmm.  I do believe I have this one!  Sounds good.  The first book in this series is called Dead Sexy, which I have as well.  I think I just may have to dig these out!

I actually enjoyed

I actually enjoyed Dead Sexy more than this one. This was good but I liked the mystery in the first one and it had a bit more action. This was steamier and the scene in the kitchen sampling the food was almost combustible.

What's the vampire world /

What's the vampire world / mythos like in the Blaze series you're talking about?  Can the vamps live a normal life, go out in the sun...  is the vamp thing a permanent thing, or will the hero become unvamped by the end?  I'd want to read it knowing what to expect.

Well...

The vamps cannot go out in the sun.  Each hero in the two books is trying to become human again.  Depends on what you like from vamp books.  I enjoyed these even though the paranormal is not my favorite theme.  I'm not giving away anything about the ending, you will have to read yourself!

Thanks for stopping by.
