Eblgisah Lord,Ordinary Lady may have a title and possibly a blurb that appears to be a Regency set story (it fooled a few people in the name that catagory competition on Write Stuff), BUT it is a wonderful feel good book with a thoroughly contemporary feel.
The fuschia haired heroine who is attempting to reinvent her life working in a tea room on a run down estate and the proprty developer descended from the Black Sheep of the family make an admirable couple. Lord Radcliffe, Will, has always erred on the side of convention, while Josie has delighted in defying convention and the rules. As they encounter each other, sparks fly and each learns lessons. The scene in the orchard where the first kiss takes place is wonderfully romantic. And Josie's daughter with her penchant for fairiy wings steals almost every scene that she appears in.
If you are in the mood for a romance that will refresh the spirit and reaffirm your belief in true love, this might be the one for you.
