A Fabulous Day!

I had the most fabulous day. This past month, I was the featured author for my local library's book discussion club. All of my books were on special display. To my delight and relief, all of those books went out... again and again. How exciting that so many people are reading my stories!

Today, I was a featured speaker for the book club. In addition, my boss, the branch manager, Sue, had designated today as party day in celebration of my newest historical western romance, The Fall of Rome. All of my co-workers wore country attire complete with cowboy hats and bandanna's. The library gave away cool wild west notepads and there was an awesome, delicious cake displaying the cover of The Fall of Rome.  The extended book discussion veered toward all of my books and the great debate over who Evie should be with--Arch or Beckett--(All About Evie, Everybody Loves Evie) arose and was quite lively. Laughing What fun!

I know I have several books published, but I am far from jaded and I never take this wonderful ride for granted. I'm always delighted and astonished when readers celebrate my tales. I was humbled by the attendance. I was enthused by the feedback. I was....

Transported.

Usually, I feel like a senior library assistant who writes by night. Today, I felt like an author who moonlights at the library by day.

My humble thanks to Sue and my co-workers and to everyone who attended today's event.

I am blessed.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "All the words I use in my stories can be found in the dictionary -- it's just a matter of arranging them into the right sentences." --Somerset Maugham

Far out! .....

Sounds like a great time indeed!  ..... your coworkers sound like real gems ... the best of the best!

so I'm curious ... who got the most votes?  Arch or Beckett?

are your Wild West series available in eBook?  ... if not, I'll have to see if my Library has them .... I promised myself to limit the actually number of print books I acquire these days (space is becoming an issue! LOL)

I'm so very happy for you great day!  ... thanks so much for sharing it  :D

Awesome day Beth.

I am so glad your co-workers helped you celebrate your success. Keep down to earth because that is what makes you so likable on the boards.

Now as a WW point junkie, 4 pts would mean they were small pieces of cake? Anyway, that's what flex points are for.

Successful, pretty and nice. Give the rest of us girls a chance, Beth.

Katherine...

On the Arch vs Beckett front, it was about 70/30 Arch. BUT many of the women had only read ALL ABOUT EVIE so far. Maybe some of them will feel differently after they read EVERYBODY LOVES EVIE. We'll see. Wink

No e-book versions, sorry to say. But these books--Lasso the Moon, Romancing the West, and The Fall of Rome are very popular with libraries. Believe me I understand being on a budget and, as you've probably guessed of my day job, I'm a big supporter of libraries. Good luck and let me know how you fare!

Angel...

You're a point junkie too? Hee! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Yes, the pieces of cake were small and I didn't eat the icing... just the cake. Still... I opted for raw veggies only for supper. 0 points! Laughing

I have to thank you for all of your very kind words, Angel. You made me blush. Embarassed

Have a great night!
