Katie has fallen on hard times: broke, pregnant, and headed home to an uncertain future. Booker has a past that includes Katie turning his proposal down, so when he finds her broken down on the side of the road, he isn't terribly happy to see her. But he helps her out when no one else will and they begin to rebuild their relationship.
This is a really touching story about a couple of people who made mistakes, learned from them, and who are trying to make a better life in the future. They learn to trust the love they once shared and earn the HEA. Great story!
