This is another in the Montana Mavericks book - this is Dax's book. Shandie is new in town and her daughter connects quickly with Dax. The two begin to connect through a series of favors - a ride home, a date for a party, etc. Shandie shows Dax that life is what you make of it not what is given to you. However, as Dax begins to embrace life, will Shandie believe that he will be with her for good? This was my favorite installment in the series so far. I loved Shandie - her outlook on life and her fears about Dax. I wish that Dax would have apologized to Lizbeth, but overall, it was an excellent book.
