Ok, here is the book I was reading and left behind at work on Saturday night. I got it back last night and finished it this after noon.
The Book:
Thoroughbred trainer Cole Early needs a place to stay while his horse is preparing for the Kentucky Derby. With Louisville booked solid, he snaps up the snug little bungalow his real estate agent miraculously finds.
Glass artist Lulu Flannery has agreed to rent out her house for Derby, but quickly begins to worry. What if her boarder is someone like that rowdy “King Cole” person who keeps popping up in all the places she seems to be? A guy like that could really mess with a girl’s feng shui.
But it isn’t Lulu’s feng shui that Cole is interested in. Especially after he discovers she’s the mysterious woman whose house is filled with such sensual indulgences. What’s a guy gotta do to bring the passion out of the self-possessed Miss Flannery?
My Take:
This was a good book...I always enjoy Ms Bevarly's books. I get a feeling that she is an Orlando Bloom Fan. A funny scene has some characters having their Orlando film festival. One of the characters was thinking about the time when she was watching the filming of the movie Elizabethtown, and all she got to see was Orli's stand in...And I probably learned a little about horse racing....and the opening scene with Cole at the Santa Anita race track was good...the way she discribed the San Gabriel Mountains was good. I have never been to the track, but I have been accross the way from there at the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
This is the first of 3 books....lets hope the next two are just as good.
