Forbidden Passion

I always say I seem to read similar books at the same time, and this is proof positive. I pretty much laid out the plot to this book with Deal with the Devil. Lynn Riggan dated Sawyer Riggan four years ago.

But he left for two months without a word, and she married his brother Brett instead. Unfortunately, Brett was scummy, and only married her to get at Sawyer. She loved Sawyer, and fell in love with Brett, completely deceived by his lies. Sawyer had told Lynn to wait for him, in a letter - and figures that she wasn't the woman he thought she was.

Brett dies in an accident, and Sawyer, the ever caring older brother steps in to help out. Their grief and situation inspire one night of passion - which leads to consequences neither of them are particularly ready to deal with.

Sawyer learns more about Lynn while he tries to sort out the problems in his company, and discovers some unsavory things about his younger brother.

A dark story line, but incredibly enjoyable. I read both of Emilie's books in one day, and can't wait to read more.

Emilie Rose

I've read a couple of her books but not recently.  I may have to look for this one!

What's up, how are classes, or are you on break???

Hi Kate!

This book - and the other Emilie Rose book I blogged about were both
released in 2004 - I got them from the library. I really liked them,
but forgot one thing. For the first one - she over used the word "sip"
- it became distracting :X.

Interesting that you ask - reading days began, and finals start Wednesday Cry  - feel free to send good thoughts/prayers my way!

How are you? [I've been even worse about blogs than normal because this year has been pretty crazy!]

passion books

earlier this year I read Breathless Passion related to this and Scadalous Passion too.

Good luck on finals

Jeeeaaaaaaaaalllllllouuuuuuuuuusssss

Thanks Christa

I was just about to hunker down to studying. :X Really late, I know. I can't get "Breathless Passion" and I think "Scandalous Passion" is gone too- the library says "trace" which means in a few months I'll probably get a "we can't find it" note. *sniff*

Guess I'll have to check out the UBS

if I want to find the ER's, huh?

I understand busy. Same here, I'm trying to make time to catch up here, it looks like Thursday is my best opportunity.

Sending you successful thoughts and prayers for your finals!

Yes

Hi Kate,

ER's books may be hard to find but I definitely think they're worth it. As to the thoughts and prayers- thanks. I really need them.

Hope everything is well with you!

Final's finished?

Just checking to see how those finals were?

 All's well here, just busy!

Kate

Yup!

Kate,

Thanks for asking! Finals are done! As to how they went... hopefully better than I think. I had an awful migraine during one. I know everyone complains during finals, but I seriously felt like I might... not die, but need to be hospitalized. I was seeing spots, felt nauseous, was breaking out in cold sweat... I even tried to find my professor to ask about rescheduling the exam but couldn't get a hold of him. =\ Hopefully that doesn't knock me down too far.

Another one... people at the top of the class/always on Dean's list started crying during the exam, or after. Haha - yeah. that's not good.

But it's OVER. Hopefully not forever! [If so... I guess I'll have a lot more time for reading...] I'll also probably have student loan debt for the rest of my life :P not that that's not a distinct possibility even with a JD.  Ok - my snarking is done!

How's life?!

Feeling better?

Hope you're feeling better!  I know how miserable you must have felt during those exams.

Life, here?  Busy, but I'd much rather be busy than have notthing to do.  What are you're plans for summer?

Kate
TBR--The Born Readers

Aww

I know what you mean, Kate!

My plans for the summer are work, and classes. I actually have evening classes 4 nights a week. Ack.

Work is part time, though I'm looking for a new job :\. And I'm writing a law review article, effectively, though I need to get on that. (As usual.) :P

I hope you have a great holiday weekend!
