There is a serial killer roaming the streets of Birmingham and Rose Browning had knowledge of who he would kill. She had a "gift" that allowed her this knowledge.
At one time she would see one person's face over another if they were each others true love. But one of her true love matches turned deadly and the male half of the couple killed the female half and then himself and Rose saw it happen. From then on she began seeing death veils on the faces of people who were destined to die at the hands of a brutal serial killer. Daniel Hartman was a former FBI profiler who believes the murders are the work of Orion, a prolific serial killer he has been tracking across eight states and who killed his fiancee over thirteen years ago. Rose tried to warn two of the killer's victims but they thought she was crazy and refused to listen. That was their mistake. Daniel is not sure what is going on with Rose but she seems to have knowledge that might make her suspect. A couple of times in crowded rooms she saw the death veil on the face of every woman including herself which meant the killer was one of the men in the room. The killer eventually goes after Rose.
I enjoyed this book very much and recommend it to those who like mysteries and can suspend their beliefs for a while.
