This is the first book in a series about three sisters who each have their own special "gift". Lily is a psychic, Rose is a wedding planner who sees "masks" over people's faces, and Iris can feel pain when she touches someone. More about Rose and Iris when I post their stories.
A little girl has been kidnapped and her mother killed. Rose "sees" six year old Abby and wants to help her. She also sees another child at the same time but that child is not with Abby. She seems to be another psychic who visits Abby. Rose can communicate with and "touch" Abby to calm her down. She can also communicate with the other child who says her name is Casey.
Lieutenant McBride doesn't believe in psychics because when his daughter was kidnapped a person claiming to be psychic kept giving them hope but in the end could not locate her. However he eventually comes to believe in Lily. But the deeper they get into the case and the closer they come to locating Abby the more dangerous it gets for them. In fact someone is trying to kill Lily before she locates Abby because Lily has "seen" one of the kidnappers and can identify him.
I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries and can suspend their beliefs so they can believe in psychics.
