There have been a number of questions about the way the forums are different from the old ones. I wanted to let everyone know that we are working with the developers to change them.
It's a pretty complex change and not as simple as flicking a switch. It's taking time to make the changes and with good reason. We don't want to botch up the conversations that you have going on already. For now, please participate in the forums as best you can and believe me whan I say we're working on them!
Of particular concern to us is the 'jump to new posts' links. These are very convenient links, but they aren't working when a forum thread exceeds one page.

Thanks Scott...
Thanks for taking such care with fixes -- the new forums are a riot -- would hate to see it all go kablooie.
Now if I can just figure out how to load some images from my desktop! LOL

Overall I'm finding that the ease of finding the forums overweighs the picky things... Thanks for the info ~ and for all the hard work you're all doing to keep us here and talking!

Thanks to all techies
We all appreciate the fact that you all are trying to fix problems without creating others. And we love you for taking time to tell us about it. Keep up the good work. You'll get there in spite of our frustrations.

Thank you for keeping us
Thank you for keeping us informed. I think the worse thing about these bugs is not know which you are working on (for me anyway). I know it will all take time, I just want to know that you are working on the bugs I care about
Still tweaking things..
You should notice that the fonts have darkened on the posts after a number of users commented that the original font was too light.
We're getting closer on a fix for the 'X New' comments links. It's in testing right now so keep your fingers crossed... except when typing... that can get painful!
There are other things on the go as well...
I've also got a little tip. To increase font size in your browser you can hold down the Ctrl Key and hit the +/- keys. In IE7 this zooms the page. In Firefox, it changes the font size. I don't have a Mac handy to get the shortcut for Safari, but if you google 'Safari keys font increase' you should find it pretty easily.

Hi Scott!
I have noticed the darker font ..... is it on all the pages now?
and I was wondering if the "back path" for the blog pages is on that list of "other things" you mentioned ..... it would be sooooo loverly if we had a back path at the top of the page esp. of the Book Challenge main pages when we click to open up a review, a path to get back to the spot where we left off on the main challenge page
thanks so much for the update! :D

Font Size
Actually on a Mac using Firefox go to "view"--- then to "text size" ---- the click on "increase"-----This increases the font size.
On Mac using Safari go to "view" --- click on "make text bigger" ---- this increases font size
You can click as many times as you want (or at least three times)
