Cassie Rankin is a twenty-one-year-old who is raising her 4 nieces and nephews. The children's parents are in jail and Cassie is determined to do all she can to keep the children together. As a new Christian, she sometimes falls back on old habits, but she puts her trust in God to guide her to make the right decisions. Fortunately, her mentor, Angie, has generously given the young family use of her beach home to help them get on their feet. There, they meet thirty-two-year-old Wade Dalton who has recently recovered from Hodgkin's, and was looking for relaxation and quiet. That is something that will be hard to come by with a pretty young neighbour and four little kids. I found the story quite slow-paced. I fell in love with the children and their distinct personalities.
Back Blurb: The four little noisemakers who'd moved next door to Wade Dalton came with a bonus: their beautiful aunt. Raising the children herself due to some tough circumstances, Cassie Rankin impressed Wade with her selflessness and her beauty. But she was also at least a dozen years his junior - she was too young for him, wasn't she? Besides, Wade came with a secret that would only make life harder for Cassie and the children he'd come to adore, which meant keeping his distance. Something those four little blessings weren't about to let him do!
