I'm tweaking the first few chapters of my wip in preparation of the Written in the Stars conference in Shreveport this coming Friday and Saturday. I have everything I need, and it's all ready to go: everything from clothes to appointments to the hotel room.
Can I admit I'm a bit nervous about going? Is there such a thing as pre-conference jitters?
I'm excited and a little afraid about meeting all the local authors (and some non-locals) that will be attending. And my brain goes into a kind of anxious meltdown of sorts when I actually think about sitting across a table from an agent - if that's even how things are done.
I have no self pointers but to tweak, research, and rehearse. I have no idea what to expect, or what is even considered the normal to happen. Should I carry a few extra copies of my first three chapters incase I'm asked for a partial? I wish I had just one more week to prepare!
Live, love, write...
